Who this policy applies to
This policy explains how ShiftPulse handles information in the iOS app and on this website. ShiftPulse is an independent application developed by Elliot Andrews and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS, an ambulance service, GRS or your employer.
Information stored by the app
ShiftPulse may store your pay profile, role and band, imported or manually entered shifts, annual leave, breaks, enhancements, mileage claims, home and work locations, payslip reconciliation figures, preferences and legal acceptance. This information is stored on your device and is not sent to a ShiftPulse developer database.
GRS calendar access
You choose whether to provide a GRS iCalendar subscription link. It is treated as a secret, stored in the iPhone Keychain and used to request your calendar directly from the address you provide. ShiftPulse does not require your GRS username or password. Confirm that your employer permits this use.
How app information is used
Information is processed on your device to show your rota, estimate pay and deductions, identify possible overtime gaps, calculate mileage and create reports that you request. ShiftPulse does not make official payroll, employment, rostering or safety decisions.
Apple services and subscriptions
Optional address searches and routes are processed through Apple Maps under Apple’s applicable privacy terms. ShiftPulse Pro purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit. ShiftPulse does not continuously track your location or receive your Apple Account payment details.
Support form
If you contact ShiftPulse through this website, we process your name, reply email, enquiry category, subject and message so the developer can respond. The form is delivered using FormSubmit, a third-party form-processing service. FormSubmit states that submissions may be retained for 30 days. Do not include patient, caller, incident, colleague or operationally sensitive information.
Sharing and exports
ShiftPulse does not sell personal information or share it for advertising. App information leaves your device only when you request a calendar sync, calculate a route with Apple Maps, make an App Store purchase, share an export or send a support request. Protect exported files and use an employer-approved secure channel.
Retention and deletion
App records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to device backup settings. Use “Delete All ShiftPulse Data” in Settings to remove locally stored records and the saved calendar link. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and maintain necessary records.
Security
The app uses the iOS Keychain for the calendar link and offers Face ID or device-passcode locking. Website support messages are sent over HTTPS. No security measure removes every risk, so protect your device and do not submit confidential operational or patient information.
Your rights and choices
Calendar syncing, mileage addresses, app locking, exports and support enquiries are optional. Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of information supplied through the support form. Use the Support form and select “Privacy question”.
Children
ShiftPulse is designed for employed ambulance personnel and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be published here and may also require acceptance in the app. The effective date shown below identifies the current version.
